ATX notes that in-car Web access would likely be a big hit with Gen Y and Millennials, the coveted next-generation of new-car buyers. But before the most inexperienced drivers on the road can check their MySpace pages at highway speeds, ATX says a variety of issues need to be addressed, such as how drivers input information and how information is presented. The company also says standards need to be developed to ensure safe surfing behind the wheel and unique firewalls and anti-virus programs are needed to protect the car.
